Measuring Friction

On June 26, 2019, the DDL team tested friction at the Thunderhill skid pad.  X1 was programmed to drive in a circle with a constant radius of 20 m at increasing speed until the car lost traction and spun out (and we had a lot of fun while doing it!)

    Measured in meter/second
  • Yaw Rate: r_rad
    Measured in radians/second
  • Heading: psi_rad
    Measured in radians counter-clockwise from north
