M.Sc., Mechanical Engineering, Stanford University, 2016
B.Sc., Mechanical Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology, 2014

Tushar is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University. He received his B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2014. During his undergraduate career, he actively participated in Formula SAE competitions with Eagle Motorsports (at Georgia Southern University) and Georgia Tech Motorsports (at Georgia Institute of Technology). His interests lie primarily in Vehicle Dynamics and Suspension Design.

At the Dynamic Design Lab, his research is focused on the dynamics of drifting and how they apply in safety systems for emergencies. He is studying the effects of various actuator inputs on the underlying dynamics, and how they can be used to drift better, both manually and autonomously. Tushar is exploring the application of independent-wheel actuated brakes and throttle to expand the capability of vehicles while drifting, allowing them to perform more extreme maneuvers.
